  • Haven't Warmed up to the idea

    All the evidence they used last year, such as hurricanes, Tsunami's, flooding and hot tempuratures from last year, declaring the cause "Global Warming" has not happened this year at all.
    In fact they lied saying January was warmer than usual of 2007 When it actually was colder than the norms.
    There excuse--it's just the weather.
    Stupid, because facts are not proving it.

      Global warming can lead to ice ages in certain areas. In Europe, when/if the glaciers melt the enormous influx of fresh water will disrupt the ocean currents that bring warmer waters to the surface just off of the coast. The water would cool there drastically and the cross winds would no longer be carrying heated air, but instead cooled air leading to an ice age over Europe. I do believe in Global Warming, but I believe that it is probably just a cyclical thing that happens naturally that we just happened to bring on earlier than expected.

      Where does this idea of the earth being destroyed by global warming fit into the Bible? I know everyone has the right to beleive what they want, but that includes Christians too. And no where do I see it fitting into the scriptures. God will desrtoy the earth, not SUV's. And the current idea does not fit into the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. Just food for thought, though I expect here come 100 commnets filled with hate about the Bible.

      when global warmings is happening, each country eventually would start making some sea barriers, just like one in australia. But i dont hear any news of western countries start building this barrier or maybe they have another plan to avoid it?

      last alot longer...and was alot colder...this was jus in chicago...i do think global warming is occurring but maybe wont fully take effect in our lifetimes.......also about the water take into effect ....when u put ice cubes into a glass of water the water level rises...wat about the ocean...if we took out all the animals would the ocean level decrease...? does that mean the earth is truly 2/3 water>?

      The CO2 never past 300 parts per milion in earth's history!And when the CO2 level gets higher, the temperature gets higher too!In our days the CO2 level is at about 600 parts per milion!!!Way above.Does this seem cyclic to you?And in 50 years it will grow up at about 1000 parts per milion!You have to see the film "An inconvenient truth".It will shock you!!!

    golbal warming is a natural progresstion of all planets but humans have relised more carbon in to the air so the carbon partical are bigger and thus storing more water, so clowds can move for longer distances before it dumps the rain, causing drouts in one area and while there nabours get floods, but there is the danger of global dimming with is the other problem, ( see pan evaporation)

    in the 70's there was a global cooling trend, but the government didn't say to put MORE greenhouse gases into the air to warm up the planet. So why now that there's a global warming trend is the government saying to use LESS greenhouse gas? I'm not saying that the earth doesn't have warming and cooling trends, just that we as humans are not responsible.

    If Al Gore really belived in what he preached, he would have hiked his happy ass across the country instead of taking that fuel-guzzling jet.

    i still would prefere a car running on water simply because i'm sick of oil company's and their BILLIONS of dollars. A fraction of what they make in a year would be enough to help people in africa or south america.

    The land is made of platelets so more water in the ocean means more pressure on the land and the land will rise. More volcanic and earthquakes but little shore line loss if any. The earth will ballance itself out.

    Second, the hotter it gets, the less hurricanes you will have, it needs cool air to create the vortex in them.

    Third, Nasa probes on mars is showing that mars having a global warming too... so it that cause by the polution on earth or is it the sun getting hotter... I say the latter is more of the cause. The sun has a cycle which you can follow by the amount and sizes of the sun spots.

    Global warming may or may not be an issue, but even if it isn't, everything alive on this planet will still suffer greatly if humans do not become smarter when it comes to the environment.
    Pollution caused by humans is killing us. We are toxifying the air, water, and soil. No breathable air, no drinkable water, no edible food, we all die even if we lose just one of these.
    Not conserving resources is killing us. No energy, no distribution of goods, we die.
    These are are just a few of many very real and serious problems everyone can do something about.

    This stuff is real, so if you think global warming is a hoax, fine, just don't see it as an excuse to not be environmentally minded!
