    The thing is that Ali G used to be hilarious back when movie stars, famous athletes and politicians did not know who he was. So they were all blindsided by his act and interview. Now, no one is fooled by who he is (at least famous people who have agents and press people who keep up with the media). His act only works now when interviewing no name people. For example the people in this video all know who he is and is "playing along" with Ali G.
