It's not "ATM Machine."
ATM stands for "Automated Teller Machine." Saying ATM Machine is basically saying "Automated Teller Machine Machine." The same goes for LED's(Light Emitting Diodes). It's just "LED, not LED light."

  they did it in my city a short while ago - when the police caught them, they already had well over 4 thousand prepared fake cards - each having a pin number written in with a marker on it :) and already have stolen a few hundred thousand from the ATM's

well..
people do use a code (not that long) to actually open the machine to add money and to change the currency (you say u want to take out 100$. but when the moneyy comes out, its over 2 thousand dollars.) its just tricking the machine. and im not shure how to do this.
