Today on this 2010 Buick Enclave we are going to be installing Prodigy brake controller along with the wiring kit part number 90185-3026P. We are inside the vehicle and we are right below the steering column. You need to locate the port that we will be plugging our brake controller harness into. This port is located back behind this black covering over by the emergency brake pedal. We need to remove this black covering first. There are three retaining clips holding it into position. One here nearest the emergency brake pedal, one in the middle, and then one over on the far right side. 00:42 With those three retaining clips removed we can take the covering off. With the covering removed look over by the emergency brake pedal just inboard. You can see the large gray connector taped to the main harness. That is going to be the port that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into. I am going to cut back the tape holding the harness into place. Then we will take our wiring harness and plug it in line. 01:19 At this point we need to determine where we are going to mount our brake controller at so we can appropriately route the wire into position. If you follow with the dash board, on the right hand side there is a flat surface which is going to make a good mounting spot for our brake controller. I am going to take the other end of our wiring harness and route it across over into that area. Now that we have got our harness routed across I am going to mount the bracket into position. With the bracket in place we can take our Prodigy now and mount it into position. 02:03 At this point we can plug the other end of our wiring harness in to the back side of the Prodigy. You can see we instantly get an NC flashing on the screen of the Prodigy and that indicates obviously that we have got power but it is also telling us that we do not have a trailer currently connected. Next I am going to take the excess wire from the harness and I am just going to use a couple of cable ties and tie it up out of the way. With that done we can put the covering back on underneath the dashboard. With the covering in place our installation is complete. That will conclude the installation of Prodigy brake controller along with the wiring harness part number 90185-3026P.
