  Dejavu, I am 100% percent sure it is cuz I go to magic mountain all the time. There is a superman ride but it just launches you really fast straight up at a 90 degree angle and back down.

This is not the Superman Ride
The Superman ride at Magic Mountian is a rided that is in the shape of an L. You go from 0 to 100mph in 7 seconds and then you go straight up. Once you run out of speed you fall straight back and you have 6.5 seconds of weightlessnes. The ride in this video looks like Tatsu. Their newest ride

Not smart
at those speeds if you lost grip of what ever you filmed with it could have become a deadly projectile...thus why your not supposed to have any loose objects on rides.
