    It looked like the ref was trying to stop the fight because the white dude was injured. Because the white dude was dazed I don't think he realized that the ref was trying to stop the fight and went over to continue fighting. That's when the black dude, who should have known better (but I don't necessarily blame him) knocked the dude out. If the ref was trying to stop the fight then he should have reprimanded the black dude for punching him because from my limited knowledge of boxing I believe you are supposed to stop fighting. Also the white dude didn't actually hit him... he pulled his punch.

      mate it wasn't boxing, wide stance shoulda gave it away its good old K1 (kickboxing) he was out of it and didn't realise the fight was stopped jumped up went for Jerome, jerome got a little jab in which stopped him on the spot then finished up with the right, down he goes again.

    What does the rules of fighting say? Protect yourself at all times. The referee "is not" always in complete control of the match. But mainly,.an injured fighter is most dangerous unless he's "down" and out ;-)

  • Who is to blame?

    Win or loose, in the ring every fighter is tend to fight. So we can't say that Pettas is stupid (KO'ed guy usually doesn't know whats going on around him) nor that Banner is reckless. I guess the referee is to blame. Although two fighters were so close, the referee was not only standing apart from them but looking at the outside of the ring. He could have avoid this mess.

    PS The tournament was of K1, which was held a few years ago.

      in this case the description uses skin colour purely to distinguish the 2 boxers who are unnamed in the clip. It is simply the easiest way of seeing who he's talking about and isn't meant in a derogatory way, simply descriptive.

      Ithink the ideal world is one where people aren't afraid to talk of race in a purely descriptive way and not cause offense; not a world where people are afraid to mention race or herritage or anything like that because anyone who mentions race must be racist, which is the current situation.

      If you call people with black skin as "african - american" then this is not correct way, because they are not only live in america, so how would you call them in France or Russia? Black - is more describtive word, it applyed to any country and if you get offended by this word, then YOU have an issue and probably a rasist yourself...

      Anyways, in the description in my understanding the black guy hits the white guy and gets knocked out, but on video its other way around? - missinformed? :)
