What you're doing wrong is your starting position. Most of you are probably starting from left to right try it the opposite way. Where you start matters most.

...Where does one wall end and another begin? Either it occupies the same point on a plane as one wall or the other. Just because it looks like it's crossing both walls simultaneously doesn't mean it does.

The drawn line exists at a great many points along the same wall it's crossing. Between each point is another point. This continues on forever. Linear equations with identical lines have an infinite number of solutions. y=mx b (x=c for vertical lines, y=c for horizontal lines)

There's a problem with intersecting two walls at the corner or crossing walls lengthwise down the middle. The drawn line can not be at two places at the same time. A line segment is one dimensional. Crossing a wall lengthwise down the middle actually intersects it an infinite number of times.

If you disagree then I could take a big fat marker and draw one swipe across the whole puzzle and solve it. That's not elegant.

This is impossible as described. Three of the boxes (the big ones) have an odd number of sides. To avoid breaking the rules, the line would need to have an end in each of these boxes - but a line only has two ends.

So, obviously you need to use a trick - or interprest the rules a bit more broadly. I think you have to use the corners, as this crosses two lines, but only enters/exits the a box once. Something like this...

Got it done. took me like 10-20 tries. its kind of confusing in the begining...

Draw this shape on a donut with the donut hole inside one of the rooms. Draw the line like the video but on the last wall draw down into the donut hole. Continue drawing under and around the bottom back to the top then cross the last wall to be a genius.

And I got an F on the assignment

i took 5 tries and got it.

First try, but what I find curious is, why? This seems to be a waste of time. if you want a solution I'll post it. =D

I got it on the second try.. I did nearly the same thing the first time but messed up on one part.

took me 6 time to try it until doing it right
