      You can get all kinds of led bulbs/colors at electrical supply stores... plus all the wires, batteries... everything you need, except the balloons, of course. Don't know any contractors who need balloons during the course of the day... Krusty the Klown might...

  • if you want to really freak someone out

    hook two together about a foot apart and sneak them into the water of a river or creek. Let the current take it downstream to your victim. They will freak out when they see two large red glowing eyes looking at them from the water :P

    You're going to need to stick a resistor in there to stop your LED from pulling too much amperage... Three LEDs (R, G, B) plus a crossfader would give you a pretty nice colour-shifting effect too.

    It would be a very nice decoration for Christmas to put outside your house (of course, if you have cold winter. And by saying cold I mean at least -1 C). Just it would be more practical to make ice shaped like a cone that one could easily put LEDs inside.
