That video is very nice for the people who like martial arts!
Great movie no wonder its hailed as one of the best fight films ever. Jet Li is incredible. This is one of the best remakes of any film. Jet Li is the only one who comes close in matchin Bruces abilities.
By DougyG 1188240097 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyeah, this is a same story that Bruce Lee ever filmed.
And here Jet Li also plays the same hero that Bruce Lee played.
However, this is not a ripoff of any other movies, because the storyline is based on real histroy, which is always free to be refered. ; )
GO GO CHINESE!
CHINESE > Japs
I think this is more like Chinese propaganda against a japanese style. Obviously they are trying to bash Aikido, and in doing so totally misportray it. There are no punches or kicks in Aikido, it is all defensive and about blending with your opponent's energy.
I'm not liking this video.
This is Jet Li fighting as we all know. However. This clip reminds me of a movie Bruce Lee made. Bruce's master got ill and Bruce suspected the Japanese Karate Do for getting his master il. Bruce then goes to find out if it was he japanese who did it. They did. Bruce fights the whole Karate club and then beats the master/sensei in the end.
I think this is a ripoff of that movie. Its bad luck i can't read the subtitles. They might have helped me..
Anyone think im right?
A Remake of that movie. Fist of fury. Then Fist of Legend with Jet Li. Jet Li's Fearless is a prequal to this. Huo Yin Jia Was the poisoned master and his diciple goes for revenge.
By JCalebM 1177042056 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeit's dedication if anything. Pretty much any Kung Fu movei watcher who watches this scene knows where it's taken from

By kungfukick 1141529318 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removekareem was and still is a martial arts student. he trained in martial arts and yoga to keep his body in peak condition in the NBA. also kareem met bruce in 67 at black belt magazine headquarters and for the next 6 years Kareem was a student and trained with bruce lee.
By laus 1140142743 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveKareem still has warm rememberances of the Odoggs blowing him before each game, but how could you forget he studied martial arts for five, or so, years. He is a black belt and could kick your foul mouth straight up your own ass with a size 17 house shoe! Keep your warm and courteous comments coming and Kareem sends special greetings to your Mom, sister and of course, your grandma (without her teeth)!
By whiskered mollusk 1139095497 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOf course all fighting in movies is choreographed. They take special care to not hurt eachother while fighting. I'm sure acheung could be right about Bruce Lee making contact during fight scenes to make them look real, but Bruce Lee was definitly skilled enough to make contact without hurting anyone, at least not a lot. Jet Li, I'm sure, could also do the same. Different fight choreographers different fight scenes and practices. As for Kareem Abdul Jabaar he used to take lessons from Bruce Lee which is why he appeared in the film. Obviously, he is a better basketball player than martial artist.
By mayhem 1136856452 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeno one cares what he wrote in his book, its still a movie, and he was still "fighting" a basketball player. that wasnt real in any way shape or form. furthermore, i cant swear out loud using this medium, you jackass. my god you are such an idiot.
By odogg 1136774250 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhy the hell is people comparing e.g jet Li to bruce lee. They are 2 different martial arts actors and they perform different types of martial arts.Do noobs dont understand their films huh!!!!!
By super-boy 1136567594 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBecause this is a remake of a famous Bruce Lee Scene. Apparently Noods don't understand their films. The question, who's the Noob?
By falken76 1136714091 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeof course its fake, its a movie you jackass. pull your head out of your ass and wake up. bruce lee did the same S**t , its all fake. how about his last film with kareem adbul jabaar, was that real? all bruce was doing, was moving his arms and legs around real fast, he wasnt even fighting a real martial artist, jabaar was a F**king basketball player. you are such an idiot. get your mouth off that mans C**k , penis breath and respond.
By odogg 1136564417 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBruce actually used to hit them to make to action real.....before pointing to me, read his books and then you will know...for example....the side kick that he performed on Bob Wall or who ever it was in Enter the Dragon was real... so before pointing at me, first comfirm yourself and then say....morons like you just swear out loud to make other people notice your comments
By acheung 1136591991 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI like your language :)
By YooDash 1136585822 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWatch Fist or Fury and compare the scene with this one....Jet Li is trying to imitate the famous Bruce Lee's fighting scene. This is a disrespect for Bruce Lee fans. All Jet li is doing in this video is moving his limbs fast and it clearly shows this is a fake......what a bunch of retards....
By acheung 1136525247 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBorn in Beijing, Li began studying the art of Wushu (the general Chinese term for martial arts) and was enrolled in the Beijing Amateur Sports School at the age of 8. After three years of extensive training, Li won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team. As part of a world tour in 1974, he had the honor of performing a two-man fight for President Nixon on the White House lawn. For the next five years, he remained the All-Around National Wushu Champion of China.
No F**king way is he ripping ANYONE off. Both Jet and Bruce are/were masters of each of their own forms.
This movie is an imposter of the original Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection. This is just a remake of the scene where Bruce Lee goes to Japanese Hong Ku School and beats up all those judo losers. Bruce Lee's movie was realistic and had lot of impressive moments. This one is just bunch of smacks, whacks, slaps, another one of those modern bs hong kong action gay movies. People should just stop jocking Bruce Lee and be more original. Bruce Lee movies are the only chinese action movies i like. I hate other chinese hong kong gay bs movies like this.

By niggaz 1136399926 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat was, by far, the best Jet Li video I have ever seen. What movie is that from?
By daabears 1136398847 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe movie is called Fist of Legend (Jing wu ying xiong, 1994)
By jjh 1136487257 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeits spelt Li not lee
By kan 1136391958 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBruce Li was a screen name another actor took up after Bruce Lee's death. Bruce Li looked a lot like Bruce Lee and in the movies that Bruce Li made he fought much the same way Bruce Lee did. Both were good but my preference is Bruce Lee.
By mayhem 1136856060 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDidnt notice you were talking about jet li. Though what I said is true.
By mayhem 1136856732 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehmmm i like jackie chan coz of his comedy...but i say jet li is way cooler

By phoenix665 1152040434 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove. . . wouldn't be so easlily brushed aside . . . its like putting bruce lee against a group of female cheerleaders . . . this scene is unrealistic.
Also . . . the phylosophy of Aikido is non-aggression, the very stance of Aikido is that of defense and therefor no actual Aikido practitioner would engage and start a fight because the style of aikido is reactionary and intercepting in practice.
realistically Jet li would attack an Aikakai and the aikakai would then defuse his attack with the appropriate move of rotation.
First it is obviuos that the guys are Aikido practitioners, and Aikido dont move that way, its just a Chinese movie bullshitting us.
By Bongsol 1141281906 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMaybe someday you will actually see this film.
They are not practioners of aikido.
It´s Karate. Aikido guys are not the only,
that can use woman clothing...
Ridiculous !
By Poune-Poune 1137859709 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLong ago, there was this legendary fighter in China named Huo Yuanjia. He won fights in Russia and Japan for wrestling and fights among bushidos. He opened up a school called Jing Wu School. After few months, he passed away because he was believed to be poisoned by Japanese people during his times in Shanghai. Bruce Lee made his film about this person and performed as his student after teacher's death. Bruce Lee goes to Hong Ku School and beats down all japanese losers in the school and beat up instructor, in beginning of the film. This Jet Li's film is a remake of this scene, which is plain fake and pathetic. Bruce Lee's scene was much more realistic. He just took down people in one hit with kicks and use nunchukus to impress audiences of how he crack everyone's head with few strikes with nunchukus. But Jet Li's film is plain retarded, just bunch of slap slap, punch punch, whack whack, another one of those Hong Kong BS movies they play nowadays. Hong KONG people better make their action movies realistic or it'll go out of business. Bruce Lee knew that Hong Kong movies were far behind compare to Hollywood. That's why he and Raymond Chow tried to make things realistic and imitate Hollywood movies, which made the movie better than any other hong kong movies. One word to describe this Jet Li's video. BORING........
By Thoraii 1137483312 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWasn't that 'Fists of Fury' (originally titled Big Boss Man?) Bruce returned the sign 'Sick man of Asia' to the Japanese? He clobbered their feet with his nunchuku's. Twirled the two Japanese (dummies) around? Then made the two eat the sign?
By Dragos 1139126689 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis stupid jet li video is a remake of that scene you're talkin about. That's why I think this video is a disgrace to bruce lee and gay. Bruce Lee's movie was more realistic and had impressive moments, especially his use of nunchakus. Bruce Lee made a movie based on a true story Huo Yuanjia, which was realistic. Bruce Lee's movie is 70% fact, 30% fiction. Discrimination from Japanese ppl, "NO DOGS and CHINESE ALLOWED" sign on the wall, japanese interpreter, russian fighter were all real back in shanghai in real times because those stuff really happened.
By Thoraii 1139170047 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy bad! I stand corrected. You're right, it IS The Chinese Connection.
