If you want to talk about decent Muslim countries, Malaysia, Turkey and Bahrain spring to mind. Why? Because they are reasonably democratic and secular with the state divided from religion - exactly the opposite of the concept of the Muslim Ummah.

And Saudi Arabia, despite being a police state has lots of murders and rapes (hetrosexual and homosexual) - hence the large number of public executions. Corruption is rampant (far worse than the USA) from the lowest level to the very highest.
By the way, the USA has the highest crime rate amongst wealthy countries, but, for example, Nigeria and Brazil are far far worse. If you want truly peaceful, safe societies, try Denmark and Norway.

Discrimination against women (e.g. inheritance and divorce rights) is enshrined in Islam. If Islam is less discriminatory than some other religions, so what? It is still discrimanatory.
You kind of skip the death or slavery for not accepting Islam and death for apostacy questions. Are you OK with those rules?

I would suggest you should study Islam From neutral point of view and you will see Its the only true Religion.
You will find many non-muslims converting to Muslims but would rarely see any Muslim converting to another religion.
This is all because Islam is a True religion .
I would suggest you read those people interviews who had converted there religion to Islam .
So that you would know better understadning of Islam.

Data for Islam reveals that the growing number of Muslims is due primarily to the higher than average birth-rates and consequent population growths of Muslim countries and communities.
In 2006, countries with a Muslim majority had an average population growth rate of 1.8% per year (when weighted by percentage Muslim and population size). This compares with a world population growth rate of 1.12% per year.
Between 1990 and 2000, Islam received around 865,558 converts each year. This compares with an approximate 2,883,011 converts each year for Christianity during the same period.

Well i am actually i am not talking about the Birth Rate , the Birth rate of the people of other religion is also High .
THe figure of people converting to Islam is Much higher then Christianity.
You can do research on it and u will find that the convertion rate from other religion to Islam is Much higher.

Please direct me to your research showing mine to be wrong.

Your long posting disappeared, but a couple of points:
The Quran is hardly easy to read. One of the world's leading experts in Arabic calligraphy and Quranic art estimates that one in five sentences do not make any sense.
Islam is spreading very slowly compared with Atheism and with Christianity. Why? Probably for some of the very reasons you quote (e.g. its absolutism, it being a complete way of life, rather than guidelines which one can examine with one's intelligence).

First of all i would like to say is that i totally disagree what the expert said , if he said so.
Secondly i wouldo like to make it clear that Quran is a complete Way of life Guideline .
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is the last prophet of Allah , and His way of life is according to Quran and Sunnah . Hence If you need guidelines which one can examine with ine's intelligence then you can study Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) Life history.
Hence you will find a living Example.
I think you should study Islam before commenting.

Islam is the faith of equality and justice for all.
Well, unless you are a woman (the Quran enshrines inequality in, for example, inheritance and divorce rights) or an unbeliever who refuses the faith after it is shown to you (when slavery or death are prescribed by the Quran) or, worst of all, an apostate (death).

There is no freedom of speech, no freedom of worship, no freedom of ideas.
The country is barren of culture.
There is unbelievable corruption and privilige.
Hypocricy is rampant.
It is one of the most racist countries on earth.
And all this whilst claiming leadership of the Muslim Ummah and of Islam. That's what sucks.

Well I disagree what you said .. In a muslim community you have freedom of speech , worship and ideas. No one will stop you , there are some areas where there is not much freedom , but those areas are very less.
Racist , well Muslims are never Racist.
Corruption , well USA has more currption then any other country.

If you are right, Saudi Arabia is FAR from being a Muslim community. It must be one of the furthest on Earth! And believe me, Gulf Arabs in general and Saudis in particular respect only Arabs and, perhaps, Westeners. Asians and Africans are given no respect (regardless of religion; in fact, Bangladeshis are at the bottom of the heap in the Saudi mind).
And believe me, sadly, as corrupt as the US is, dozens of countries (including most Arab countries) are a LOT worse.
