My grandfather, Bennett Nofsinger, started operating the Shell Service Station on Roosevelt Road and Meyers Road in Lombard 55 years ago. When he retired, my father, Ronald Nofsinger, took over the business and continued to sell gas and repair cars until 1985. I started working for my dad when I was 16 years old. When my dad decided to get out of auto repair and build a car wash at the Shell Station, my wife and I opened Nofsinger's Auto Repair, Inc. at 555 E. St. Charles Rd., Lombard and continued a 55 year family tradition of auto repair. In May of 2010 we celebrated our 25th year in business thanks to all of our loyal customers.
