By elinorsexymomi 1189191386I practiced capo eira for slightly under a year and now I have recently been practicing taekwondo for just about the same time and now I realize just how COMPLETY UNEFFECTIVE capo eira is as a martial art; no defense, no real powerfull kicks or even tactics for that matter, nothing! Just a great cardiovascular workout...
By lordmortes 1177139052then how did the brazillian slaves use it to escape to freedom
By gokuryudrago 1184018102I practiced capoeira for some time with Senzala group where I was baptized and later with Abada group, the 2 main groups in Brazil I think...
If you want to know more about it instead of writing futile comments vist their sites...
Capoeira was invented by brazilian slaves to fight their opressors... they diguised their fighting martial art with some drums and berimbaus and added some dance like movements to practice it and teach it to other slaves without being caught...
When you practice it today you can think of it as cool chess game... yes, the REAL capoeira is a mind game... you can do great moves like the ones you see here but if you don't have the mind skill to use them wisely it's not of much use...
i think they are very good ,capoeira is not just a fighting style is a life style i start doing breakdance and capoeira 5 years ago and if u mix them the result is´fantastic in a show is good for public, respect ,and if u want to see my movie hier just search "breakdance capoeira boy" theat is me .
By mitza 1148345455Do any of you know that girl yuri from the cheerleaders in taiwan, I love her she is the best i mean the other girls are very pretty but yuri is amazing i wish i could meet her any guy would be lucky to have her. NOW i am going to have a manly good CRY!
By ksnow 1136520244that was decent but i reall dont care for coiepera to much its probably a unique fighting stlye but not much of an effective one. I mean if your an unskilled fighter the dancing might shock you and temporarily confuse you but if your a skilled martial artist then you should predict the movements quite naturily.
By ksnow 1136519881In all honesty, how many people here practice capoeira, let alone faced off with a caporeista?
By Amos the Talented 1146062765I have been studying Capoeira now for just under a year and I absolutely love it. Its not about knocking the other guy out but you can use it like that if you really want to.
This is not the first martial art I have done. I have 15 years of experience doing different martial arts. I do, however, really like this one the most. Not so much for the actual fighting but the whole feel of it is different to anything else. Give it a try rather than just say its not effective.
