Not surprised at all...
My husband and I own two American Pit Bull Terriers and they are amazingly strong, fast, athletic, agile and determined. In that video it really doesn't look like the GSD is running though. "Pit bulls" (American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers) excel at things like agility, weight pulling, obedience, etc. They are amazing dogs and in my opinion they are the best dogs! : )

ain't that fast
I have a 10 year old weaten terrier male and he sprints like a bitch, he goes just as fast as that pitbull but what makes it seem like he's superdog or underdog is that the german shepherd isn't even running, it's more or less jogging.
