this child has eating disorder. Her brain probably doesn't have the "I'm full" signal to trigger her to stop eating so she's always hungry. When I was little I didn't like to eat much even though there were plenty of food. Sometimes my mom had to force me to eat. And of course I can also eat whatever I want and never get fat.

I agree. I never feel the "im hungry or thirsty" signal as strong as others and as a result I'm generally undernourished and dehydrated as eating/drinking is a last priority of mine. I also very rarely have a craving, which drives my bf crazy when picking meals.

Since the main purpose of thyroid hormone is to "run the body's metabolism", it is understandable that people with this condition will have symptoms associated with a slow metabolism. If my uneducated ass remembers correctly, those with a slow metabolism have a hard time keeping weight off and those like me with hyperthyroidism cannot keep it on. but there are genetic disorders that can cause an uncontrollable urges to eat. it is the mothers fault for letting her daughter eat so much, but it could be that her hunger arose from other factors than being fed too much.

You are absolutely right about saying nothing about genetics but look at Mummy. Apples do not fall too far from the tree. I apologize about calling her Piggy but I didn't catch her name. I think the most compassionate thing in the world for this kid is to go Home or Heaven as a lot refer to it. Her life will be nothing but misery as long as she is here. this woman needs to definately have her child placed in foster care. I am one of the lucky ones that can eat 2-3 times my calorie daily intake and not gain weight. I average a 1 pound weigght gaina year since 1981 when I graduated from h.s I still weight just 164 pounds, but according to the drs skinny chartts, I am a normal weight now,lol. Thanks, I was having trouble, even with warmer weather and being able to go outdoors more, to get motivated to stop sitting around the house so much and stop sitting around eating, especiaaly in front of the Tv, but this video was the thing that made me sit right up and take notice and start walking again and stop the over-eating.
