Redneck Compilation

Most all who live in the country, on farms, ranchs, small rural towns drive a Pick-up truck! When you sit in the truck for long pieords of time over the years the Sun beats down on your neck and gets it red everyday, turns to tan, red again the next day! Therefore the term "Redneck" comes into being!

its more rudamentary than that... if you work the fields all day long (think old school before tractors with nice tinted windows and roofs). as you are watching the ground your head is tilted down and it allows more sun to hit your neck. that is where the term came from.

Redneck When a Man worked the land with a plow and a mule, he would hang the reins over his head so he could steer the plow with both hands. The leather woud become hard with sweat and chafe his neck. The redder his neck, the harder he worked.

how when a white man works the field he is considered a "hard working individual" and it has an air of respect about it, but when a black man works fhe field he is considered a "ni99er" and is considered lazy.

The sad thing is I have a t-shirt that says, "You say REDNECK like it's a bad thing"

The term Redneck mainly comes from hard working farmer/ranch type people who are out in the sun all day. So from from being bent over a lot their necks get sun burnt the most.

what those other 2 guys said was true but there is also another meaning of redknecks. basically white peeps who are from the south are called redknecks if they are racists. its like a racist term or somethin like that

Duringing the Revolutionary war the Americans called the Brittish soldiers Redcoats for obvious reasons so during the Civil War the north wanted to call the southerners something and redcoact would fit right(Since they were opposing America and what not)? But since they didn't wear red coats and they were always tan from the hot sun they just called them rednecks instead.
