Let me put it like this: I don't follow the masses (mass hysteria / mass idiocy) to follow a sport where if someone run close enough to you, you fall down in excruciating pain (sic). It's not that I don't like the sport even (it definitely takes skill and talent) that's the main cause of my dislike. It's the dimwitted, no brain, no culture, no decency attitude of its followers. But hey, at least someone is making some of the best money in sport from you all. Although it comes to mind now, it WOULD be the biggest sport internationally if it is simple enough to be understood and played by all classes of people, first world to developing world to third world countries. ;-)

Why don't you make this a real discussion then? All you have is a bunch of stupid points. I think you're just frustrated because, like it or not, football is the best sport in the world. This is a fact. I don't agree with people calling you retard but comparing football to cricket or rugby doesn't help you very much. If you are so smart, why don't you make a real point? Judging millions by the attitude of a few is as retarted as you can get. The problem is not with the "masses" you "don't" follow. I live in the US now and I still don't get it why people love baseball here but I respect that. I don't like the game but I understand and respect the passion.

FYI, Ronaldo started as a Professional player in Cruzeiro. He was not exactly rejected by Flamengo, he didn't have money to take the 2 buses to the flamengo training camp everyday. Things change.
