I usually turn coins into coffee

because when he dose the trick you see the bottom of the cup and I'm pretty sure you sure as hell don't see anything come out the bottom of the cup and don't tell me the coffee didn't leak througth the coins before you did the trick for the simple reason that you would have air pockets below would bubble up so I don't think that's the real trick behind it especially since like akr06 said you would burn the skin right off your hand

so you spill coffee infront of your family and friends?

First take the cup and cut out the bottom circle of another cup a little bigger than the first.Second place this in the cup so it sits in the cup and wont fall out this will work as a plugger.Third tape a plastic bag to the inside of the cup to catch the coffee.Fourth fill up the cup 3/4 full of coins and cover with the coffee .Fifth to perform you pick up the coffee cup from where you plant it or from a spectator and take the cup as you shake it push up on the bottom and it will do as the same thing here without spilling the coffee and the cup looks completly up gimmicked at the end of the trick.
