97 moves.
40.282 seconds.

Weird
It uses 15 moves to "scramble" it, but 97 to solve it?

Shouldn't the software be able to basically reverse the "scrambling" even if it didn't save the moves used to "scramble" it?

- Solution
  It solves the cube in layers, so it isn't the simplest solution. It really only takes about 3 moves (if you chose the right ones) to confuse my program enough to take possibly 100 to solve.

  Well, the point of the Rubik's Cube is to solve it as fast as possible in as few moves as possible...
  
  What's the point of making a machine that doesn't do that?

- It's not that easy
  There's a reason it's called "God's Algorithm." I used a simpler method that takes much less time and resources, but the trade-off is more moves.

  I thought the point of Rubik's cube was to simply solve it. I know they have timed competitions for the people out there who have no life, but for the rest of us, I'm happy just being able to solve it, regardless of time or number of moves.
  
  BTW, they do make chess computers and programs out there that aren't designed to whoop your arse in the fewest moves possible. The purpose of this project was to solve the rubik's cube, which it does.
