In August 2009 the English Defence Leauge came to Birmingham to protest against Islamic extremism. The main EDL were kettled at Victoria square. A small number of EDL supporters were left to take the full brunt of the Muslims who were encouraged to attack by the UAF and Respect party leader - Salma Yaqoob.
