It's funny, you are seeing all things I saw (no pun intended). Have you noticed that saw isn't actually turning? There is no sawdust as he is 'cutting' and when he turns it off, there is no indication of the blade slowing to a stop. Also, the sound isn't quite in sync with when he hits the swtich.

- I think they're really
dumb enough to actually have their fingers that close to a spinning blade and the wood doesn't look like it was cut in advance. The blade looks like a finish blade (fine toothed, probably 100 teeth or more) so the sawdust might be so miniscule it would be hard to see. I'm having a hard time seeing things because I'm too busy laughing. My middle school students did a better job with their mock accident than these clowns with a off colored glued thumb and pathetic amount of blood.

You see the finger just pops off.. If he had cut his thumb off it wouldn't pop like that. And it would come blood from his hand immediately. My grandfather almost cut his indexfinger off and it was so much blood over the saw, and that was 3 seconds! MUCH BLOOD in THREE seconds!

Go to the :04 second mark (not sure which frame) but you can see the 'thum' detacting from the hand. Many things are wrong here. First, the 'thumb' is detacting from WRIST side of his hand, not at the saw blade side. The 'thumb' is nearly all the way off, and the 'victim' hasn't even reacted yet. The blade isn't anywhere near the wound.
Also, there is no blade guard of ANY kind on the saw. Nobody does that.
I can't wait to see the interview and the photographic 'evidence' That should be REAL convincing.
