  • What I am trying to say

    is that France should embrace those immigrants who embrace France and Frenchness and who bring skills and/or hard work to France.
    And France would be the better for that.
    Those immigrants who don't should be turned away.
    But to blame Europe's ills on immigration is simply obtuse. Would sending those bloody Normans back to Denmark help France in any way?

      Immigration is not a problem if :

      - It is not an invasion where local people become minority , see Nepal for instance

      - the immigrants desire to become citizen of the country and not try to make a second mother land copycat of where they come from

      - the immigrants come in peace and do not ask reparation from far away historical events

      - the country is enough healthy to recieve them , give food , home , money , medecine and education .

  • Isn't it very possible

    that the high unemployment in France is due to an economy stifled by over-regulation and by bureaucracy?
    Britain and the US (with far higher immigration rates) have very little unemployment.
    And the point I made before was that the great depression happened when there was very little immigration to Europe at all.
    Immigrants who come as entrepreneurs or with skills create more jobs than they absorb. That is economics 101. You might as well claim that France would be better off if all the women stayed at home. It would be just as logical and economically sound!

  • Why use lies as the basis of your argume...

    Immigration usually REDUCES unemployment (there was no immigration during the great depression).
    Your figures on price rises and poverty are HUGELY exaggerated.
    So why would anyone believe anything else you say?
    There are good cultural arguments for limiting certain kinds of immigration. Why not make those?
