A test for potential parents. You have to apply for a mortgage. You need lessons and a license to drive. You must be a certain age to drink (legally). You have to be approved to adopt a cat from a shelter. You need to pass a test to buy a gun (not referring to the US here). Etc., etc. Why not a test for potential parents? Make sure that they are old enough, mature enough and responsible enough? Someone needs to break the cycle.... Just a thought.....

In my family we faced this problem.My brother's wife was bitting her children so bad ..I went to the police ...In my country if y go to the police and announce this thing you have to give full name ... After I went to the police and anounce that with my name nobody is talking to me in my family but at least I know I did the right thing as I m a mother too and I could never imagine of doing something like that to my daughter

for those of you whining about how this video is horrible and brings back painful memories and should never have been posted and shame on mooncat for posting it...did you watch the whole thing? Did you happen to notice that it's a public service announcement? If you saw this on TV you would cringe, but applaud the fact that "they make a very good point" and it's got a 1-800 number at the end and it's supported by Microsoft and whatever else you can think of to make you feel good again...but have someone show it here and you complain because you have the benfit of annonymity and an audience...grow up

Call the proper authorities, then film it when they take the abusers to jail and put it on Metacafe so we can giggle our asses off.

is this supposed to be funny? this is about the worst video i seen on MetaCafe. It brought back all the sad memories, all the scars that are still here and that will never be erased. I suffered of child abuse and know that there are lots of other people that did too. If you are going to post this kind of stuff, mooncat56, don't post anything at all.

Parents like this take their own problems out on their kids because they are cowards and cant deal with their problems in an adult manner. The world would be a better place without people like that. Good ad - u have to be graphic to convey the extent of the problem that exists in far too many households.

things like that happen to real kids all over the world. this isnt a laughing matter. its cruel. and i cant believe some parents do that to their kids. its sick and wrong in so many ways. it should be stopped all over the world. children arent puppets or toys which u can throw around and in a few years just shove it in a closet and never use it again, children are living breathing ppl and shouldn't be tormented like that. its just not right.
