    The book he wrote before DaVinci Code, "Angels and Demons", was so much of a better story and would have also made a better film. It was actually believable, for instance. Don't get me wrong, I own DaVince Code and enjoyed reading it, but I'm still disappointed. Also, Tom Hanks, actor extraordinaire that he is, is simply not right for the part of Robert Langdon. Someone such as Jim Caviezel would have been a much better choice.

      i agree that Angels and Demons was a better book, but it was The DaVinci code that put Dan Brown on the map. if it wasn't for The Da Vinci Code, most poeple would have never even picked up Angels and Demons. i think it will be the same for the movies, The Davinci Code will turn people on to the Robert Langdon series, and Angels and Demons will come later.

      I disagree with the comment about Tom Hanks. He is a very versatile actor and can play any part from an astronaut to a mafia hit man to a simple minded country man, and i think he will fit the part of Robert Langdon well.

      I partially agree with what you say. Angels and Demons was an AMAZING book, I loved it and quite frankly I liked it more than Da Vinci Code (which was, anyway, a masterpiece). Also, I think it had more "visible" links to reality. I hope they will consider making a movie out of that one as well.
      On the other side, I think that Tom Hanks could play a perfect role here, and judging from the trailer I think the movie will be quite adherent to the book plot! (Hope so, at least)..
