doesnt adding dry spices at later stages makes it hard to mix as it can form like small small chuncks????

Adding the dry spices to the onion-tomato ensures that the dry spices will not burn...if we had added them with the whole spices..then it would have burnt really fast. Regarding the small chunks - well, that is why we kept mixing and made sure it is all blended in.
