This hunter apparently never bothered sighting in his rifle before hunting season. Either that, or he suffered from a bad case of buck fever. That deer gave him more chances than he deserved. I believe this guy needs to take up golf.

Firstly I don't know how that guy could miss, the only thing I can think of that is that he didn't account for the range because the deer was VERY CLOSE, perhaps he sighted his rifle for a longer distance, none the less he should have bagged that one easily.
The first two shots were aimed at the deers head which is a bit odd because then you wouldnt have a trophy, the last one was aimed at its chest which is a larger kill zone.
After the first shot the deer stood still and continued not to move. The deer is not stupid is does this so as to not be seen. But this only works if it were in the forrest and not in the open so that is odd. Humans detect movement more than shape so if the deer stands still there is less chance of it being seen. Then it decided to get the hell out of there after the 3rd shot.
Many a time you can just walk past a deer and not see it because it is standing stone still, but if the animal saw you and started bounding off then you would know exactly where it is.

Not everyone who hunts for sport does so out of the drivers side of a truck, or up a tree in a makeshift deerstand covered in scent concealers and doe urine. A deer can trample you, and if you hunt bear you can't tell me you do not run the risk of being mauled to death. Hunting with a rifle is also a bit more humane since you have a higher chance of outright killing the animal as opposed to wounding it and letting it slowly succumb over the course of many days to a spear wound.

I totally disagree with your comment and would love to know where you got your information from. If the shooter did infact want to scare the deer then he would have aimed at the sky or very far away as to eliminate the risk of actually shooting the deer but you will see, if you look behind the deers head, that the first two shots are aimed for the head or neck. AND listen to the sound the guy makes at the end..sounds a bit pissed that he missed to me!
