This hunter apparently never bothered sighting in his rifle before hunting season. Either that, or he suffered from a bad case of buck fever. That deer gave him more chances than he deserved. I believe this guy needs to take up golf.

regulated well managed hunting as it brings in revenue for conservation but when you got some assholes who shoot at live prey without sighting the rifle in first its stupid. It looks light the shots are fairly consistent judging by the kick up of the sand so it must be the sights.

Firstly I don't know how that guy could miss, the only thing I can think of that is that he didn't account for the range because the deer was VERY CLOSE, perhaps he sighted his rifle for a longer distance, none the less he should have bagged that one easily.

The first two shots were aimed at the deers head which is a bit odd because then you wouldnt have a trophy, the last one was aimed at its chest which is a larger kill zone.

After the first shot the deer stood still and continued not to move. The deer is not stupid is does this so as to not be seen. But this only works if it were in the forrest and not in the open so that is odd. Humans detect movement more than shape so if the deer stands still there is less chance of it being seen. Then it decided to get the hell out of there after the 3rd shot.

Many a time you can just walk past a deer and not see it because it is standing stone still, but if the animal saw you and started bounding off then you would know exactly where it is.

I find it pretty frightening that people with such a bad aiming are even allowed to hold a gun. I'd never go in the forest with him! I'd get shot more likely than any other creature because I'd be the only one he doesn't aim at.

This guy is the worst shot ever. He'd probably miss even if he had a shot gun and was 10 yards. Why do you think he was an American? Could he have been Canadian, Mexican, Australian, Japanese, German, French or any other nationality? People from all over the world hunt. The idea was to scare the deer away and not shoot to kill it. The shooter belongs in a very active animal rights group. Believe this, you'll believe anything.
