I just finished reading the book Reword by Jason Fried from 37 Signals.

He was explaining that we can often find areas of our business that we didn't intend to be a profit center that end up being profitable.

Henry Ford realized that there were so many scrap pieces of wood coming off the assembly line and he needed to figure out a way to dispose of it.

Rather than throw it away, he started a charcoal briquet company. It was initially called Ford Charcoal Company.
