This holy site sits on a rectangular base and presents itself in cruciform shape, with an octagonal dome, and three-sided apse.

The precise origins of the church are unknown, but estimates conclude that it was constructed before the foundation of the Ottoman Empire.

Ornate frescoes were found in the main dome during restoration work conducted in 1964.

Though the church ceased to be an active place of worship after the Turks invaded the Balkans, it is now a pilgrimage site.
