they are not real dogs they are robots. This was an ad by sony pointing out that their advanced robotic animals can mimic and do more than your average animal.
Japanese love pet segments on TV. So kawaii!
This one is very funny. The Japanese come up with some very funny stuff.

I've been to a handful of other countries that actually try to do more than import American television programs, and I have to say that Japan has some of the most boring fodder on their airwaves I've ever seen.
No matter what is on, the producers will provide the audience with video and/or audio of the reactions of other people watching the same thing you are. So that you know how to react. Because Japanese people are terrified of being different than everyone else.
I hated that country.
Dear Ignorant "ptd02882":
It's a pity that your own ignorance blinds you from appreciating anything about that country. Especially since your generalization is based on their so-called poor indigenousTV shows. Following your own logic one could apply that to US TV or at least 95% of it and come out with a similar generalization about the US as your own piece of insightful wisedom suggests. Furthermore, while I do not understand Japanese actually found the clip hilarious and warm (the family at the end were so gracious and loving). If anything, it made me at least want to vist the country.. fair enough if you don't like their TV, but it ain't a basis for pissing on a whole country..and if you want a better example of "how the audience should react' go to any taping of Letterman or Leno and you'll notice the old "applause" signs flashing up before to do so whenever they need it, nevermind the 15 "prep" the show's assistance producers throw at you before the show even starts 'this is a funny show, so you're supposed to laugh, and have fun.." These days in the US, live audiences are even "vetted" before they are even allowed in to some shows..Of course, let's not get into the rest US-made reality TV, talk-shows, sitcoms and so-called news channels like Fox..All i can say is thank God for the Sopranos. (ps: check out a wonderful little Japanese movie called "Tampopo" - it may open your very closed eyes..)
then they eat it...
Japanese never eat dog!!!! Do not make confuse!!
calm down...it was a joke..i so sorry...;-) btw...i would eat a dog..no prob. if its not mine an well coked...lol
