How to Do Leg Extensions - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.
Hi I'm Linda with Fitness 19. I'm going to show you how to do a Leg Extension on a Machine. As you're sitting in the chair, you want to make sure that the back of your knees are up against the pad here on the chair, that your back is flat up against the pad. You're going to hold on to the handles because it keeps your lower back into the pad, so you don't put any strain on it. You're going to bring your legs up, you're going to pause. Keeping your toes flexed back towards your body so you keep constant resistance here on your Quadriceps. You're going to take it all the way down. You don't want the weights to touch because when you do you have too much resistance going. So you want to hold, take it all the way back, you're going to bring it up. You can turn your toes out, you can turn your toes in, and then back. Works the Quadricep all the way around. And that's how you do it.
