The Trap is a modern film noir reflecting the true face of Serbian "society in transition." An ordinary man is forced to choose between the life and death of his child and his own morality. It is a film about post-Milosevic Serbia, in which war is replaced by a moral and existential desert. This is a Serbia in which human life is worth little, and normal life remains almost unreachable.
