1 major issue:
If you smooth the tape in the fashion that you used, you run the risk of distorting the print.

Not to mention fuming is normally only used on porous surfaces like wood, where powder (even magnetic powder) doesn't work very well.

i guess this is why there are white fingerprints on the inside of my desk drawer. it must be from the superglue in there that wasn't closed all the way.
