Treasure Near Your House! Can You Find It?

....you ROCK. I am an avid cacher and have been caching for about 2 years now. I am happy to see that you are fellow cacher too.

I've been Geocaching for a few years now. You might want to mention that the site also sends out weekly updates with a list of caches nearby you based on your zip code or location.

Can Google Earth be used instead of a GPS? I don't want to spend 100$ on a GPS just to start Geocahing ;)

I just used your DVD player hack and it let my DVDs work again. Before, ANY DVD would give it an error message of "Disc read error". Now, by changing it to all regions, my DVD player miraculously works again!

I've never done this with a GPS, but I periodically come across these while hiking. I first heard about it when I kept noticing ppl walking into the woods near where I work. Someone hid a box back there, so I went and found it and left a message in the log that they were on private property. Sounds like a fun "sport" though.

So nothing new here. But I guess some people may not know about this.

Geocached back about 3 years ago, done it for 4 years, fun thing to do on the weekends when your bored or even on a lunch break.. haha..

geocache today. There are not that many caches hidden in my area. Took some stuff and left some stuff (Swag) though on a traditional geocache.

I am preparing my first geocache and still thinking where to hide it.

right after i saw this video, i went out geocaching. Now i have found over 50 and have made five different ones. Tell me if you have placed any so i can find them on my next road trip.

Where can you get a GPS(handheld)?

I just found out about this from you ( I was watching this last night) and I found my first geocache this afternoon and I am hooked! I dont have a GPS yet but I used my computer and because I did it in my town I reconized everything in the map. thanks so much.

I never tried it before, and now i tried it (yesterday) The closest one was... well just in the forest next to my backyard, and i had to dig XD

Cool but I already do somthing like this called "Letterboxing" it's basicly like this but You get stamps which You stamp in a book you buy and it use's a compass or some You just follow dirictions.
