How long are you both in Iraq? Lots of years. Nothing changed. Only that US, Brits and Iraqi families cry their dears dead. Blair left and brits left. Now Bush leave and US will Leave. AT LAST!!!

i HATE multilateral wars. We put our american troops at the will of somebody like pakistan or something, and we get killed. I either want only americans fighting, or americans and brits fighting together. I dont trust ANY other country to help us out and do their part.

What im trying to say, is that if i were an american soldier, i would either want to go to war alone, or with england. Screw the UN. Screw multilateralism. Join up with Eng, and get the job done together. Americans and Brittish are the only ones who can fight worth S**t , and fight with any honor. Send everyone else home.

well said muslimkiller!the us-uk modern day crusade will prevail,the sooner the muslim terror cheifs realise that the brits are masters of this type of warfare(25 years of training against the ira) the sooner they can get back to wiping ther asses with their hands and living in their dirty hovels.it will take time,look at germany,uk-us co-operation,it took time but look at it now!as for for the imigrant problem thats a whole nother battle.but we live in hope!

Being american, i wouldnt quite say the "best" ;)..... But certainly #2. I would imagine that the quality of your soldiers is similar to ours, but the size of your country limits your peak power.

no offence, i completely appreciate what you are saying and, yes, you are bound to say that you are the best. In terms of available fire power and technology and weight of numbers, i would have to agree. But, in return, you would have to acknowledge that, pound for pound, the sheer professionalism and fighting spirit of the british soldier is virtually unrivalled. We have to because we do not have the massive resources of other countries. Falklands - need i say more.
Okay, okay - we got a bit of a spanking navy wise from Argentine air power but the troops got the job done in proper style.

but at least the people we kill are armed. I would say shooting at us too, but they typically dont get the chance :)

My son was out there too with 1PWRR Back now, transfered regiments now going to be sent to Afghan. That video brings tears to my eyes when I watch it.

Well, you guys certainly helped, and we greatly appreciate having at least ONE competent ally, but the numbers show that we DO deserve the credit

Forces deployed in 2003 and in 10/06:
America - 250,000... 145,000.
Brittish - 45,000.... 7,200.

The numbers show that we took the grunt of it all, just as in WWII, where we had u of the forces in the Euro front, as well as nearly 100% of the forces in the Jap front.

this is not to downplay the usefullness and abilities of the Brit Army, but instead to make sure it is known who is doing the fighting over there percentage wise.

Just for the record most of my freind are English but UK is not England. The welsh have been there in the front line for hundreds of yrs, fighting for Wales Englan/Scotland/UK. Do the f'ing math. 100-200 thousand of them, 3 thousand of us. I realize that it was an exageration to say that we kill more americans than iraqis, but come on man.... just STFU....

We fooled around for YEARS putting off going to war. They bombed our naval vessels (uss cole), they bombed our trade centers in the early nineties. They bombed our embassies. They took hostages from those embasies. They declared war on us long before we did a thing. All of this, and we still didnt go to war. We didnt know who to fight! But when they flew those planes into our towers, and killed over 2000 people, that was it. That WAS the last straw. Even then, it wasnt untill 2003 that we did anything!! The japs pulled that S**t on us in 41 and war was declared that day, without approval of congress! It took us a year and 5 gazillion debates to decide to go at it this time!

I think you are dead wrong about us being so "clint eastwood" (and its john wayne anyway, dumbass) about going to war. We dont like to do it, but we've got alot of enemies in this world, and the best military the world has ever seen to fight them with. You attack us so blatantly and sucessfully, and it IS "bring it on".

And guess what, we brought it. We conquered a nation on the otherside of the world in 28 days. What other nation could do that?

You could have written a letter, saying that johnny ray might pay with his life, but did you ever ask johnny ray if he was willing to pay that price? If the answer wasnt "yes", than he shouldnt have been in the military. Our soldiers fight and RISK THEIR LIVES EVERY DAY so that YOU can sit there on your ass and whine, in complete safety. You dont worry about getting bombed in your own home. There are no tanks rolling toward you city right now. No foreign country is about to annex your land. That is becuase of the sacrifice that those soldiers SIGNED UP FOR!

If you dont want johnny ray to die, which none of us do, then instead of trying to figure out how to get him out of war, figure out how to help him get through it, so that he comes out alive AND we get the security of victory.

It's irrelevant wether or not politicians send their children to war, I don't really see your point there, the boys who put this video together are proud of their achievements even if it is distasteful to you, I am very proud of our boys and girls who are serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and everywhere else they are being sent by our government. Private Rayment went to Iraq because he was a soldier, trained for war... at least that's why I think you spend countless hours digging in on Salisbury Plain and tabbing 40k over the Brecon Beacons, Private Rayment went to Iraq because his Regiment went and it seems from other posts he was well liked and served with distinction, as for paying the ultimate price.... he died in War, that's what soldiers do, as someone who claims to be ex forces I am astonished you don't regognise that fact. As for Private Rayment, I never knew him at all, but tonight when I'm having a glass of wine with my Dinner, I'll raise my glass to him and every other soul who has come back with a Union draped coffin and thank them for the selfless sacrifice thay have given. As for you.... if you don't like the British Government then don't use a tribute video as a podium to your dummy throwing, send Tony Blair a letter, you have that right, you have the means, you have a voice, let others have theirs.

the best is determined by the inner drive of the individual soldier and their personal disciplin.

The rest of it comes from their training.

After that, their country backs them up the rest of the way. America has the best military becuase we have good individuals who are highly disciplined, and supported by vast amounts of advanced technology and equipment.

it's good to hear that at least some americans have respect for our armed forces. Im proud to be British (not proud of living in a country with more and more kosovans) and I'm proud to be an ally with the USA. After all, we are basically the same people, with different accents. :)

Who told you nine soldiers were there? I was at cimic house on the date shown in the video. I was with A COY 1 PWRR. I was a team commander for a group of scottish TA guys there at the time. There was around 30 of us there, and about 3000 iraqis trying to over throw us at both cimic and pink palace. God watch over 1 PWRR who are now back in Iraq as im typing this, god bless ray, cheers
