its just that some people on here can be so obscene when you are just making a comment about the video itself (check out - BMW Tension, & you will see what I mean).

while this is suppose to be commenting on the videos, some people just don't know alot about the subject at hand. When they start bullshitting about it, they deserve the abuse they get back.

i just checked out that video you were talking about Aussie, and just thought i would let you know that the open speed limit in the territory was abolished

It was supposed to have happened in 1994. I live an hour from the NT border and have been over into the territrory approx 6 times in the last year (mostly fishing, occasional high speed run in a sube). Admittedly I haven't been since Jan but then it was still unlimited. It's also funny that the only reference to japanese drivers dieing during the cannonball in Oz are yours, reviews of the 1981 cannonball movie and from arcadegames.net (google cannonball run darwin 1994) Have a look, decide for yourself

That's a 9 second 1/4 mile, not a 9 second 8th. You and the chancelor guy have lost your minds. It's $1400 to get the car to 500bhp. What's cheaper and better than that? We've got a couple of butt-dyno geniuses on our hands...

u are the biggest dick ever, do u know that the Toyota Supra is one of the best 'budget' supercars you can buy, 10k gets u a 350hp car, add an extra few grand and you can be riding on 500-700 hp. thats only with 14k. I have one and bought it for 11k, imported from Japan, it was already tuned to more than 400hp with 18s and racing bilstein shocks, its basically a racing car.

i used to own a 1992 supra. yes, the older model, 3rd gen. we bought it for 500 bucks with a blown head gasket. we rebuilt the entire motor!! we did everything from chrono treating all the internals to gettong oversized valves. we then bought a t76 dual ball bearing turbo, spearco intercooler, we made our own custom exhaust headers and intake headers, i am leaving out alot to shortin this up but al in all we ran a 9.21 1/4 mile at 23 psi. it all costed about 8000 bucks. we did it all outselves. sept for the chrono teating lol. but try to find a 8500 dollar 9 second car.

for all the people that are about to complain on us not having roll cages, harnesses and what not, i am not adding that cost to the totall. besides that it was 8500, and for those with no faith still, our freind helped us, he owned a machne shop, it rocked!!

yeah you really haven't weighed up the cost to bhp gain you get, have you now? sink US$25,000 into a supra and you too could have a 9sec supra. And while i'm at it, you think supra parts are bad check out replacement parts for a nissan skyline or silvia there even more expensive. go back to your trailer

You know nothing about cars. That car is faster than a Lamborgini Diablo, a Ferrari Enzo, a Corvette Z06, Saleen Mustang, Ford GT, EVERY Porsche - its faster than ANY production car. Why? because it has at least $30,000 US put into it. Any car faster than 12.0 secs in the US has to have a proper roll cage, plus the engine mods, tranny, tread, turbos, exhaust, etc. Now, straight line speed isn't everything, but that's what you are after a 9 second 1/4 mile is very impressive. That's 9 seconds to drive .4 Km from a standing start. I didn't see the trap speed, but i'm just guessing roughly 235 KmPH in 9.8 secs. Does that help put it in perspective metric folks? (The US apologizes for being slow on the metric thang)

Pureclass is correct. supra parts are way too expensive. waste of money. It is a pretty fast car for being in street trim tho. most 9 second cars border on the edge of not streetable.
