when an idiot with a bunch of disposable income gets ahold of a classic, or old car, he usually totals it in no time with his lack of experience. This creates a shortage of quality old cars leading to higher prices.

Is the 72 year of birth or graduation? Class of '72 rocks. We had leaded gas for a quarter a gallon, Hendrix, Joplin, Beatles, four bolt mains cheap, and Nam. We did get a new Camaro for under $5K. But all in all it was good.

I can get better fuel economy from a manually tuned and controlled Chevy small block V-8 than almost any 4 banger rice burner (and not play kamikaze trying to merge onto the freeway). Wasn't that a mid '70's GLC. I bought one new that died at 3 months. Mazda put it in the shop. In the end I never got it back. Never looked at a Mazda since.
