Here's how to re-light a candle right after it has been blown out. You can relight it from quite a ways away... as if by magic. Amazingly, the smoke actually carries the flame back to the candle and relights it!

Simple
candle are made from wax (i think parafin like) the wax itself is not flamable but the fumes are which is why it 'jumps' you do the same with any thing that gives of flamable fume eg. petrol
