Embrace Sweets began in 2004 with one simple idea: to share the family’s passion for baking with the world. Great-grandmother and Grandmother are the Matriarchs of the family, Also the Sweet Perfectors of our family. There wasn’t a meal that didn’t end with something sweet or Sunday dinner without Southern Poundcake or Georgia Pecan Pie.

Baking is in their blood, or at least the passion for it is. Mother remembers when she got her first Easy Bake Oven and alongside her mother in the kitchen, she would pretend to bake the world’s best brownies (the recipe included with the kit); Who would have guessed that 40 years later she’d still be doing that except alongside her daughter, Me.

The kitchen for us has always been a place for catching up, making plans and letting your imagination sore. Every good memory I have revolves around food, particularly something sweet. I believe that Food brings people together, it’s always included in celebrations and some of life’s biggest decisions are made over a cup of coffee and pastry.

Embrace Sweets was created with this in mind. We wanted to take something simple, easy, and memorable and make it something that you’d want to include in all YOUR memories. For birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays – while you’re Embracing the moment, you’re also Embracing sweets.
