I wonder if that will take some life off the hardware... fans trying to move in oil... and cleanup wouldn't be fun.

- The fans are superfluous
The fans are there just for show. They don't actually "do" anything. Normally, they're for air cooling, but that's all taken care of because of how the oil can dissipate heat.

I wonder what the running temp is compared to regular air cooled system.
I also wonder about the wear on the cooling fans running in a much denser environment.
This system is running but for how long ?
