    Looks like the police need to spend more time on the practice range. I counted 5 shots: 1st hit the car window, 2nd hit the guys leg, 3rd hit the ground about 4 ft. in front of the guy, 4th hit the guys chest, 5th hit the ground again. Poor shooting...no excuse.

    Thats an execution! This would never have happened in Europe.. In Norway, Great Britain (as far as I know) and a lot of other European countries cops don't even wear guns! They don't have to! They may have a gun in the patrol car, but are not allowed to carry it around at all times.. 2nd amendment act = "freedom". KISS MY ASS! Don't you really see the connection between the amount of voilence and the fact that you are all allowed to carry weapons? The right to carry weapons generates fear, wich again leads to more firearms... Your society is built on fear!

      you would know that the 2d amendment does not guarantee the right to carry guns. It guarantees the right to own them. Very few people actuall carry guns on their person, if you do you need a permit. As far as European countries banning the ownership of guns, lets see, how did that work. Now only the criminals have guns, and now there is so much "knife" crime in the UK they are going to ban knives too. What a bunch of crap. If you are counting on the police to protect you, good luck. At best police are a reactionary force, they are there after the crime has been committed. Somebody breaks into my house and tries to harm my family I sure as hell don't want to wait for the police to show up.

      I was not aware that, due to the restrictive gun laws in Europe, all of the bad guys turned their guns in.
      Of course in the countries that don't allow guns....the crime rate is 0 and the gun crime rate must be even less. That's CRAP and you know it !

    Did anyone notice that the cops shot first? If you look closely, you see that the criminal did have a gun in his hand when he fled the car, but he didn't aim or shoot at the cops... The cops shot at him first and shattered the window of the car door. It spooked the guy, he fell, and lost his gun. He reacted erratically, as though he didn't expect gunfire at him and went to a second gun in his pocket for self protection... because they fired at him. I don't know where some of you guys come from... but here a cop has to be endangered, or at least aimed at, before before popping shots off at any criminal, for any crime.

    • Let me break it down for ya

      The man stole a car and endangered many peoples lives including the Man and his daughter that the thief almost hit. After making it known that he was a dangerous criminal, he then gets out of the vehicle with a gun in his hand. From the cops perspective it doesn't matter whether he aims at them or not because it's not about whether he poses a threat to the police or not. What matters is whether he poses a threat to the general public. Because he did pose a threat to the public by driving like he did and then running away from the police with a gun in his hand the cops had every right to stop him before he killed someone. That is proper police procedure and in my book common sense. I am just glad I don't live where you live. I would be pretty damn pissed if some criminal kills my wife and kids in the act of running from the cops, and could have been stopped but wasn't becuase it's not police procedure to shoot him if the cops lives weren't in danger. The cop's job is to "serve and protect" the public not the criminals who pose a threat to the public. The criminals aren't paying their salarys the public is.
