Living in Bratislava: Housing

Bratislava is divided into five districts and offers urban and suburban housing options to the expat. Areas in and near the city center, such as the Old Town in Stare Mesto, provide close proximity to cafes, shops, cultural activities, and is well serviced by public transport, but mostly apartments are available and parking is limited here. Family homes, gardens, and adequate parking can be found away from the city center in areas popular for expats with children, such as Karlova Ves. The city center can still be accessed from these areas further away by public transportation.
