Learning the local language during your international assignment may take time but always pays off in the end. Romanian, the official language in Romania, is a Romance language, which belongs to the family of Latin languages. You will find a lot of words and grammar similar to Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish. This makes it easier to learn for people with previous romance-language experience. Nouns in Romanian are characterized by gender (feminine, masculine, and neuter), and declined by number and case. The Romanian language is a phonetic one which makes it easier for foreigners to learn it quickly.
