its gotta be fake
else it would be in the news or patented. its got nothing to project onto, so how would it come up? unless you like projected the light onto a ball of gas that was dense or something and held in a sphere, like how a laser shows up in a cloud of smoke or something.

- There is infact such technology
  About 14 or 15 years ago there was a bad video game that was quite forgetable. It projected an image onto a round mirrored table about the size of the table in the video clip you submitted. the image was not half bad, (in a darkly lit room) and appeared to be 3D. As I say though the game was quite forgetable.
