The flame test is used to visually determine the identity of an unknown metal of an ionic salt based on the characteristic color the salt turns the flame of a bunsen burner.

Better results
You would have much better results if you simply added your salts to some methyl alcohol in a watch glass and ignite it. Cesium, if you can afford the chloride, gives a very deep blue.

And your fire was too tense to show proper colors of the elements (hence you didn't have bright natrium, purple Kalium etc). Lithium was okey, though.
