Warsaw has a relatively new public transit system and infrastructure, this being said, the city is still actively trying to match the size of its transportation system to the ever increasing volume of traffic. The public transit system is serviced by buses, trams, one metro line (north to south), light rail and regional rail. Before riding, familiarize yourself with the map and schedule, plus ride and fare rules to avoid any headaches or complications. If driving, keep in mind that traffic jams are not uncommon in Warsaw and the city is continuously repairing damaged roads. However you choose to travel through the city, acquaint yourself with locals rules and customs to avoid major hiccups. Please refer to the following links for more information.
