I need to take just the tear and place it on a different clip. but i dont know how to crop the tear, or how to crop something that moves.

      sasukejutsu i have seen the video link u gave me.so the answer is No..you can't use it to grab the tears from that video...........you can do it in After Effects and combustion but it's not that easy to learn AF and DC for new begginers.
      However theres is a way to do it in sony vegas or any software which support chroma Key....
