Damn...
I understand that there was an engine malfunction when it first plunged back into the water, but the second attemps seemed like a pilot's error when he leaned the helicopter forward

- Pilot's error?
  On the second attempt he didn't lean forward the Helicopter, the water did that. The pilot forced the Helicopter to pop up, but due to the water porce he didn't succeed and that was his mistake.
