but he does have a point about the cause of censorship being based on influence from the church. What is actually shown would be barely enough to warrant a PG rating in a movie, and plenty of material allowed on public television is just as "racy" (if you will..). This commercial would be protested in the US based solely on its depiction of two people disregarding their marriage vows, and it would be protested mainly by religious people. Wide acceptance of this type of censorship is based mainly on John Q Public not wanting to be forced to listen to "holy rollers" go rambling... because they have made annoying people an art form and most of us would rather allow the censorship than be saddled with such annoyance. God bless them, and I think their hearts are in the right place, but achieving their goals through this type of coercion is not very American of them.
