but its quite cool. isnt it to do with a tidal surge where it compresses and so you get a bulge

the french name for this wave is "mascaret", I don't know english name
it happens when the tide takes over the stream of the river
poroca is the best mascaret for surfers , we have one in France, and thereis one in china but so huge that you can't survive if you try to surf it
so, not a fake... mascarets work every day when the stream and tide are sufficient...

I am learning surfing right now, Iam brazilian and today I decided to go there and surf some time. I will defilnely do this before I die.
