We had gone to another builder, actually several builders and as we were researching the cost of the house one of the things we found is that several of the other builders were very ambivalent. When it got down to signing the contract, the prices were changing, we couldn’t get specifications the way we wanted it. So we got a little leery about what was going on. We talked to Jimmy before we didn’t think, he was so busy, that he had have time to build our home. And that was wrong, and he says “where ya been?” He came by and started the construction and we are so glad that we went with him. This building experience was actually pleasant. I know people that this experience isn’t pleasant. I would build another house with Jimmy in a second.

We found that the all brick, granite countertops, the tile, even the hardwood floors are top of the line, first class, every other builders they were options and they weren’t options with us. The price was right, the timeline was right, and the fit and finish is excellent.

When Buchanan builders began the house we were impressed by the amount of individual attention that Mr. Buchanan gave us. He is a hands-on builder. He was on the site 7 days a week. Not only did he work with us but we worked with the subcontractors and the whole building experience was extremely positive. Rather than a builder, Mr. Buchanan is more of a friend. I’ve never seen someone on the job 7 days a week he is at the house making sure everything is ok. I didn’t have to worry about it. He took care of everything. And I liked that.
