It looks like snow, but we call it fluff. The official name is catkin and it is the seeds of the eastern cottonwoods (Populus deltoides) flying away in the breeze or just falling down. The fluff can be seen everywhere, even on the roofs of the houses of the Toronto Islands, where this clip was made. The clip was made on June 20th 2007, at the height of the fluff season.
